We cannot think of a better holiday gift than Fern Mallis’s new Rizzoli book Fashion Lives: Fashion Icons with Fern Mallis. Fern is the mastermind behind New York Fashion Week, and all the fashion weeks across the globe for that matter, so obviously she has great relationships with the top designers including Tommy Hilfiger, Tom Ford, Donna Karan, and tons more.
In her monthly interview series held at the famous 92nd Street Y, Fern hosts famous designers such as John Varvatos, Isaac Mizrahi, Vera Wang, Betsey Johnson, and she was even able to snag Bill Cunningham! Because of her dynamic relationships with these icons, she’s able to ask the tough questions, the questions we all want to know.
Because this series has become a huge success, Fern has turned it into the most beautiful book! Although it’s technically a coffee table book, it will hardly live there because you won’t be able to stop reading it!
As a Texas native, Braden Bradley made the move to New York City in 2010 after receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas State University to experience the opportunities the city has to offer. After being named Mr. Gay New York, starring in Pride: The Series, maintaining his charity column in Social Life Magazine, and volunteering for The Trevor Project, Braden discovered that life is truly what we make of it. He is also an active member of the Middle Collegiate Church in the East Village and can be found singing in the gospel choir. Braden currently works as a publicist in New York City.
